Our Story

Our journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: to create resources that would elevate awareness around the critical issue of maternal mental health. In July 2023, this vision took form with the development of a series of posters designed to spotlight postpartum depression (PPD) and related conditions. Far more than informational tools, these posters served as a rallying cry for communities and healthcare providers to recognize, address, and destigmatize maternal mental health struggles.

At the forefront of this initiative was Dr. Milind Shah, a distinguished advocate and leader in maternal mental health. Recognizing the urgent need for education and awareness, Dr. Shah provided visionary mentorship, medical validation, and strategic leadership that became the foundation of the project’s success. Under his guidance, the poster content was meticulously vetted and secured the official endorsement of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), whose logo now lends authority to every resource we share.

The idea for this initiative was inspired by Payal Ajmera (IT professional), who had personally witnessed the profound impact of PPD on families. Motivated to drive meaningful change, Payal initiated early conversations with healthcare professionals in both the U.S. and India, which ultimately led to her collaboration with Dr. Shah.

Dr. Shah’s leadership extended beyond consultation—he personally championed the dissemination of our materials, overseeing their debut at a major Continuous Medical Education (CME) seminar on Maternal Mental Health in Solapur, Maharashtra. His influence galvanized overwhelming support from healthcare professionals and attendees, setting a strong foundation for future outreach efforts.

A key contributor to the project’s creative and technical success was Eeshan Ajmera, Payal’s son and a talented 11th-grade student. Eeshan dedicated over 100 volunteer hours to designing the posters and building the project’s website from the ground up, blending youthful innovation with professional-grade execution.

Today, our posters are available in three languages, with plans underway to expand accessibility even further. However, this marks only the beginning. Guided by Dr. Shah’s continued mentorship, we are developing a series of global webinars to convene experts, healthcare providers, and communities around maternal mental health education and support.

Additionally, we are engaging with senior stakeholders, including the Medical Education Commissioner of Maharashtra, to advocate for systemic integration of maternal mental health education. The milestone achieved in Solapur, made possible through Dr. Shah’s tireless support and leadership, represents the first step in our broader mission: to educate, empower, and ensure that no mother suffers in silence

Our Story

Who We Are

We are dedicated to raising awareness about maternal mental health, with a specific focus on postpartum depression and related mental illnesses that affect new mothers. This is an urgent issue, yet it remains largely unspoken due to social stigma and a lack of awareness. Our mission is to break the silence, educate, and support those in need.

We understand the challenges new mothers face and the importance of mental health during this crucial time. That’s why we have created this platform as a safe space where mothers, families, and healthcare providers can access reliable information, support, and resources.
